about anti films

ANTI FILMS produces investigative documentary cinema centered on American counterculture, forgotten regional history, and underground movements. Working outside commercial studio pipelines, our projects are built directly from primary artifacts: uncirculated film reels, private photo archives, recovered audio, and unvarnished firsthand accounts from the people who lived it.

We focus on singular cultural artifacts, overlooked artists, and subcultures ignored by mainstream documentation. By maintaining complete production autonomy, we work directly with archivists, filmmakers, and scene veterans to document raw history without commercial interference.

IN PRODUCTION

THE PARTNERSHIP TRIP

Format:

Feature Documentary
Subject:
Jerome Counterculture Collective (1968–1975)
Poster for The Partnership Trip, an independent underground documentary on the Jerome, Arizona counterculture commune collective, showing an abandoned house on Cleopatra Hill.

Named after an insular, undocumented collective that formed in the Verde Valley during the late 1960s, The Partnership Trip chronicles the volatile era when a half-abandoned Jerome sat sliding down Cleopatra Hill following the mine closures. Isolated and neglected, the crumbling copper town became a refuge for commune squatters, artists, desert eccentrics, and motorcycle clubs who took over gutted company buildings, ran an informal barter economy, and lived completely off the grid.

PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT

Operating independently out of Jerome, Arizona, ANTI FILMS develops, produces, and supports non-fiction feature films and archival docuseries. We provide direct production resources, archival scanning, and project backing for filmmakers and archivists documenting raw American history.

In addition to our in-house projects, we collaborate on external works, undiscovered collections, and artist estates aligned with our focus on underground culture.

ARCHIVES & SUBMISSIONS

We review documentary treatments, works-in-progress, and rare physical archives—including personal film collections, soundboard recordings, private photography, visual art collections, and historical ephemera.
